Thrive at home: Ellen Dixdotter

In Betonggruvan’s mini interview series we explore what makes people thrive at home.

Today we meet Ellen Dixdotter, marketing director at Malens Birger and one of our favourite instagrammers. Ellen has just moved from Stockholm to Copenhagen with her family and is at the moment decorating her fab Frederiksberg apartment as well as renovating an old farmhouse on Österlen. Happy reading!

What is your favourite item in your home and why is it so?

Our sofa! A Camaleonda from the 70s by Mario Bellini. Has the perfect combination of being almost as a piece of art in itself, and at the same time (actually) nice to cozy up in!I got it after some eager bidding on an online auction. Never let me loose on auctions, I’m fierce, and loose all reality check to my bank accounts…

When do you feel your very best at home?

Early mornings, black hot coffee and the morning news.

What do you want to recommend?

To dare loads of carpets! Combine colors, textures and sizes! Have a secret project right now within this field, so stay tuned for some exciting news on my Instagram!
